Alfred Brackston Smith, 90, died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at his daughter's home. He was a native of Savannah and was a member of Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church. He was retired from Phillips North American and served in the United States Army. Mr. Smith was a Mason and was a member of the Alee Shrine.
He is survived by is wife of 69 years, Tenella B. Smith, son and daughter-in-law, Alfred B., Jr, and Karen Davis Smith, and daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn S. and Carl E. Spofford. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Brackston Smith, Craig Smith, and Shannon Spofford, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
